Brief History of This School
- The school was established on April first, in 1945. Its original name was
Taiwan Provincial Taichung Industrial Training School. There were three departments:
Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Mechanical Engineering. After Taiwan’s
Restoration, the schools course was stopped for some reason.
- In 1946, the school got started again. There were two departments at that
time: Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
- In 1959, the school name was changed to be Taiwan Provincial Taichung Industrial
Vocational Continuing Education School. There were five departments: Machinery,
Electronics, Electrical Architecture, and Chemical Engineering.
- In 1975, the school name was changed to be Taiwan Provincial Taichung Industrial
Vocational School with Continuing Education Division.
- In 1979, according to the government order, the school name was changed
to be Taiwan Provincial Taichung Industrial Vocational School with Night School
Continuing Education Division.
- In 2000, the school name was changed to be National Taichung Industrial
Vocational School with Night School Continuing Education Division.
